Sloppy Chic

Finally it’s weekends after a week of slogging my ass off. I predicted today to be a happy day because I am going for a feast and going to watch Transformers. Everyone has been telling me how great it is and someone even told me that everyone clapped after watching the movie. So, is it really that good? I have never watched any Transformers in my life, and I did not know there is actually a sexy girl in the movie!

I think I am going to eat in Shogun in One-U, and photography is not allowed there! These photos were taken on my last visit there, my first time too, but this time I think I want to stay away from sashimi, I read too much about how worms are infested in the brains and intestines! O_o. Gross.

Nandos has always been my all time favourite ever since my first time there about 5 years ago. But their prices have increased now. My favourite is actually their hot peri peri sauce. They even replaced the good old wooden shelf with a metal shelf now. Well, we fund for their cutleries. A bottle of peri-peri sauce is retailing at RM9.90.

This is my usual set there. 1/4 chicken with 2 sidelines, they have peri peri chips, corn, coleslaw and rice for you to choose from. Thigh tastes much smoother and sweeter than the breast. I usually top this chicken with lots of extra hot peri-peri sauce and garlic sauce. I think this set is priced at RM12.90 now.

Now, their ice lemon tea has gone bottomless. Priced at RM5.45, you can drink all you want, which is perfect since their extra hot peri-peri sauce is really quite hot. But, I have no idea why they serve the drinks quite slow, probably because they don’t want you to drink so much before meal? Well, they have also shrunk the glass size to a shorter one. But, sometimes their service sucked. It’s hard to get them to refilled for you. Damn.

A 1/4 chicken meal+ bottomless ice lemon tea for a pax is about RM22.00. If you are thinking about sharing your ice lemon tea, they do not allow it.

I was wandering in The Curve thinking of what to eat. Running out of ideas, I reached this restaurant, which sells only Hakka food. Hence the name ‘welcome HAK ( guest ) restaurant’. This rutestaurant is always packed, although the food is quite expensive, but it has to be something good right?

I ordered a chrysanthemum tea with some ginseng roots. I think it’s RM4 per glass.

This is ‘choy sam’ with garlic, very simple food, at RM10. Simple yet expensive. I could cook this myself !

Cold beancurd with fried onion at RM10. Expensive too.

This is roast duck, but it’s the roast duck with gravy, not the crispy roast duck. This was tasty, but quite salty. RM25. Expensive.

You know why everything is expensive? Because you have to fund their cutleries. Look at the chopstick, it’s like omg gold plated! And it’s heavy.

A meal like this including 2 bowls of rice for 2 pax, the bill came to about RM66.00. I would say it’s very expensive because the food there tastes exactly like my mom’s cooking. I am a Hakka too! Well, I do not feel like going back there again although the food was good. Expensive!!!

But seriously, with bill like that, I could eat at Manhattan Fish Market till I bloat!

Well, following by my last MFM trip, I went there again. On the house of a birthday boy! Or a man should I say. It was more like a family kind of parteh ya know.

This is the MFM in Ikano, it was dinner time but it was quiet. Perfect for us anyway.

Look at the crowd! Family thing!

This was what I had, shared of course. A seafood platter for you, with fried squids, fried mussles, 4 grilled prawns, very nice garlic rice, fries and one big piece of fish. Seriously, it was quite too much for 2 persons. Compared to the one I usually have, this is like the double of it. @@ By the way, this platter costs like RM42.90 or something.

Then, we had a cake as well! It was a coffee tiramisu type of cake, but I had only 2 bites, I was bloated. By the way, there were many other food, but I did not take them, because, you see, some people are annoyed by you disturbing their food, even my family thinks so. -_- So, I did not take the risk.
