Then you found that the cheese was only 1/3 of the original size?

SINCE WHEN?????

On an awesome day, Sidney from Big Boys Oven invited me to tag along to his food tasting in Prince Hotel & Residence, and of course me the glutton was thrilled by the invitation. So, there I went, it was my first time meeting the Big Boys too!

Warning! Tonnes of photos ahead.

The Eccucino!  Long story cut short, let’s jump to the food:

prince3

Tandori chicken: I am a fan of tandori chicken, basically i am a carnivore.  I took a piece chicken and it was not too fantastic. I have tasted better ones in mamak. Who eats this at buffet anyway.

prince4

Left:  Chickpea stew with squid and chorizo.
Right: Basil and olive oil whipped potato.

I really luuuurve the potato!

prince5

Left: Grilled prawns with tomatoes and feta cheese. Apparently the chef had forgotten the cheese, and he later added for my plate. Prawns were fresh and succulent. Love the shell-less concept. <3

prince6

Left: Roasted lamb leg with shallots rosemarry and baby potatoes.
Right: Cilantro pesto steamed seabass with soy vinaigrette.

Lamb was alright however it is lacking some ooohm.

My recent passion: eating passion fruits! I am so crazy over it and i can’t be passionate without eating passion fruits!

Now, i am going to show you how to cut and eat a passion fruit without wasting much juice. <3

passion fruit

These are what I got from home! Organically grown, they are big, red, sweet and sour!

passion fruit

Firstly, do NOT cut passion fruit into half as you will spill and waste all the fruit juice. Instead, cut a cap out from the fruit.

Then, use a spoon to scoop the contents out.

Some people just swallow the seed, while I like to chew the seed a little because they are crunchy!

<3 I love passion fruits.

It’s mother’s day soon! And we had an early celebration back in Kluang. <3 I am home sick already :(

Presenting to u….the best place in Kluang for crispy duck!

d6

Star cafe & restaurant! It was packed at 7.30pm! We managed to book our table in the noon cause someone else canceled the table.  And I guess many people took the opportunity to celeb it earlier in conjunction with labour’s day holiday.

crispy duck

Crispy duck! The skin is crispy and the meat is delicious! Yum! Half a duck for RM21. It is the signature dish of the restaurant.

Wrap it in mini-pao! Together with the gravy and cucumber, it is just so so good! I am missing it already. :(

steamed fish

Also fish is my favorite!!! RM68 for this big fish, it is so fresh and tasty.

white chopped chicken

White chopped chicken @ RM38.00.  Tasty! They have arranged the meat nicely back to the plate. So you know where your favorite part is.
