A day out visiting Taman Megah Handicapped and Disable Childrens’ Home (PPKKCTM)
Posted by sloppychic under LifeLife is certainly great, being able to eat, to walk, and breathing and bitching. Sucky job does not seem that bad after all.
Yesterday was a public holiday, so a week before that, i have planned a trip to Taman Megah Handicapped and Disable Childrens’ Home (PPKKCTM) to visit the kids there and also bought them some groceries. I have managed to gather me + 4 of my colleagues to chip in RM100 each to pool the money for their groceries.
There are about 138 folks there, so RM500 of groceries can’t really last them for days. But, i guess this is the best we could do to help a little. Christmas is a season of sharing! Isn’t it?
Once we reached there, the kids were grabbing us as if they were going to rip us apart! They were so excited to see visitors! Look how my friend is buzy here?
And they like taking photos! But sadly, i can’t remember their names or make out much from what they said.
This boi on wheelchair is really cheerful though.
This girl kept sticking to me all the time, singing to me, playing games, and all the time she purposely lost it to me. -_- She said she is only 6 years old, but I highly doubt it. She kept touching my hair and praised it. I guess she wish she had a head full of hair?
My friend here, Yani, is also surrounded by many many kids. Some of them are orphans, mostly of them are handicapped or disable.
The lucky ones get to move about and fight with other kids, while the unfortunate ones can only lie on the mat and wait for their time to come.
There are not only kids there, there are many adults there too! You will be surprised to see SO many of them scattering around.
Aout 30 of the kids are normal kids, but orphans. Some of them are lucky enough to be able to study in school, some of them have no birth-cert and therefore can only rely on the education provided by the home.
Look at the crowd!
A trip there really made me realize how fortunate i am, to have people that love me, regardless of me being fat. And I have enough to spend/eat, and live my daily life, and bitching and complaining about my job. Sometimes, all the things that we take for granted, others might not even have the privilege to have it.
I guess we will be visiting them next time too, maybe bringing some groceries, and also old clothes/or what you don’t need at home, but still usable to them.
Anyone interested?

If the boy in the wheelchair is cheerful, why do I complain so much?
