Some months ago, I attended an Intel luncheon in the famous Bangsar Shopping Centre, yes, the place where it got famous for the wrong reason. But their carpark is fully lighted now with security guard moving around all the time. Lightnings don’t strike twice, right?
Well, I had to attend the luncheon since it was an Intel press event. I never had meals in BSC before and it was my first time there, in a restaurant named Alexis. I shall cut the crap and let’s look at the pictures. There were 2 set meals for us to choose from, and I chose the spring chicken set. The main course was quite pathetically small looking but the dessert was hell big! @@
The appetizer was a mushroom soup. Man, this mushroom soup was the best soup I ever had in my life. If you think Campbell mushroom soup is very good, I think you will change your mind forever if you try this. I am quite bad at describing, but all I can say is, it was really damn good. I drank till the last drop and I wish I could eat the plate as well!
The menu of the day.
The classic caesar salad with parmesan.
The legendary mushroom soup with truffle oil.
This is my maincourse, roasted spring chicken. The cook must be very health conscious, see the raw vege on the chicken?
I had to see how the spring chicken looked like. Rather than calling it a chicken, it’s more like a bird. The sauce was really really good. Man. I wanna go there again!!!
This was what my boss had, a pan seared cod. He was complaining how pathetically small it was. It was indeed small.
I then had some tea and carrot cake for dessert, no picture of it though. Hehe I was already very very full, I only had 2 bites of the cake. Poor cake.
I am not sure how much was all these though, it was sponsored you see. One thing good about being a media is you get some free lunch here and there occasionally, I remember having a buffet lunch once at the Eastin Hotel for a Seagate press, and there was always tea time if you attend their press conference. But obviously, there is no free lunch in the world, you have to do write up for those events.
Anyway, I am not working in the media industry anymore.
I am some webmaster now. No more free lunch.

[…] Pork chop spaghetti + mushroom soup = SDG$7.50. Quite not bad, how often do we find pork chop in our food court? But, the spaghetti was quite tasteless though. The mushroom soup was the best mushroom soup that I ever had in the food court! The only mushroom soup that I miss was still the one in Alexis, Bangsar. […]
