My family comes visiting me quite often, and i do not really have a big space to accommodate them, hence, always the headache of searching a good yet affordable hotel room locally. There are so many hotel rooms’ price comparison online, it is hard to decide which website to trust and which has the best value for our money.

Usually, what I will do is, I will go to a website with all the combined details to retrieve the information I need. On that website, you can easily find a hotel in your city of choice, select a date and search! You can choose hotels world wide, I am surprised that it actually shows result of hotels in Petaling Jaya as well! You can still refine your search by filling in the guests’ details. At one glance you can view the hotel price. This is quite cool in my opinion as you can decide which hotel is best for your budget and location.

So far, I have never had any bad experiences booking for a hotel room, and I am a fan of doing everything online now. It is fast, and save my time of traveling, as well as the risk of not being able to book a room as walk-in customer. Imagine the horror of traveling to a foreign country without pre-booking your room, and to find that there are no rooms available to you. I guess that’s one of the worst things that can ever happen to a traveler.

Usually, my priority for a hotel room is their service and the room cleanliness. I have stayed in Westin in KL once, and I was disappointed with their slow service. I was supposed to check into my room at 3pm, and when I did, the room was unkept and messy from the previous visitor! This experience tells me that 5-star hotel is not necessarily good at times.

If I ever go travel now, I will just book my air tickets from Air Asia or MAS, so planning a trip couldn’t have been easier.

I have been a fan of Yahoo Mail for all my life, and, today, just when I am sending mail out, I noticed this new cool function :

Look! Now you can even add multiple mail accounts at the column of ‘FROM’. But, what’s the real use of this?

I bought the NexG Mastercard from the AmBank in SS2, and it was like… 3 weeks ago. I filled in form and submitted all the shits. Yesterday, I called the card center for card activation, to my horror, they told me they have not received my application. WTF? I think Ambank did not fax my application over. God.

So, I went back to the AmBank again, they dug out my particulars from some archives and said will fax it for me again. I do not know whether they have done it or not by now, but I shall call back the card centre again to check.

This is maddening!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why all the poor services pouring down on me??? Even the parking gate denied my card, saying Unreadable Card. So, I had to press for HELP, luckily the help came quite fast.

Damn.

I bought a NexG prepaid Mastercard from AmBank recently, thinking to use it for my PayPal account. If you can’t afford a credit card, or you just hate credits, then you should use this, because:

1. It’s cheap
2. No need to bear the debts
3. At least it’s accepted worldwide
4. It’s really cheap, it’s only freaking RM25.00!

Think about it, with RM25.oo, you hold a MasterCard, you can flaunt it, you can put RM100k of credit and tour the world. Sounds good isn’t it? Let’s look closely at the card.

It’s printed on the card CLEARLY LOUD that, NEXG PREPAID. Prepaid… dear people, don’t think you are really loaded, they say:” You can use this card just like any reload card for mobile phone!” They made me feel like, yah… I know I am disqualified for a credit card.

Seriously, if you need a debit/credit card for an online bank account, I would recommend this to you. No hassle registration. Just go a 7-11 (selected location), or a AmBank nearby, with RM25.00, voila! You got a card! However, you need to submit your personal particulars for them to process an bank account for you. You can use this card at.. anywhere, pay petrol, buy clothes, ATM card, as long as you debit money into this card. It makes you even easier that if you just go to any AmBank cash deposit machine, chuck some money in, there, you are loaded!

One thing really good about debit card is, you will never overspend, or crying at your outstanding bank payment at every month end. Wouldn’t you jumping happily at the thought of it? No, a debit card won’t make you look like a pauper, I think, it will be a trend.

Ok, so, I am going to use this to register another personal account for my paypal. I have a premium account and I think a personal one is better. In order to be verified by paypal, you need to add a Visa/Master card with some digits of PIN. So, happily, I registered my account with this prepaid card. To my horror, they said my card is invalid! I do not know w.h.y.

Ok…I thought. So, I went to ATM machine., thinking to check what’s wrong. To my bigger horror, I do not have any PIN to log in and my card is stated to be invalid as well! Uh….

I could not understand why…come to think about it… I have not deposited a single cent into the card! I have not gotten my PIN from the bank! Duh!
