On an awesome day, Sidney from Big Boys Oven invited me to tag along to his food tasting in Prince Hotel & Residence, and of course me the glutton was thrilled by the invitation. So, there I went, it was my first time meeting the Big Boys too!
Warning! Tonnes of photos ahead.
The Eccucino! Long story cut short, let’s jump to the food:
Tandori chicken: I am a fan of tandori chicken, basically i am a carnivore. I took a piece chicken and it was not too fantastic. I have tasted better ones in mamak. Who eats this at buffet anyway.
Left: Chickpea stew with squid and chorizo.
Right: Basil and olive oil whipped potato.
I really luuuurve the potato!
Left: Grilled prawns with tomatoes and feta cheese. Apparently the chef had forgotten the cheese, and he later added for my plate. Prawns were fresh and succulent. Love the shell-less concept. <3
Left: Roasted lamb leg with shallots rosemarry and baby potatoes.
Right: Cilantro pesto steamed seabass with soy vinaigrette.
Lamb was alright however it is lacking some ooohm.
I have forgotten what fish is this but the chef grills it on the spot. It was too fishy for my liking.
My platter! Prawn was my most-favorite on the plate.
Ahh dessert! I was excited to see desserts and sashimi!
Awww how cute are they.
Cake anyone? Sad to report that I did not take any of these desserts as I was already quite full.
Chocolate fondue! I was very excited to see strawberries! And marshmallow!
And OYSTERS!!!!!!! <3 I ate only half a dozen. <3 fresh and fat.
And prawns! I did not take the prawns too. Shelled prawns aren’t my favorites.
And more desserts, salads, and dressings.
So beautiful!
And spoons of desserts! There are 2 types: The prawns and something like cheese with olive.
Smoked salmon! Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmy!
This salmon was strongly recommended by the chef, it was said to be spicy, sour and tangy. But i find it pretty tasteless…
Choklud time!
More puddings and tarts.
My plate! I want to go back there again just for the desserts!
There was also chef who demonstrated the healthy way of cooking by steaming your food.
Easy peasy! I guess i can replicate this anytime.
Last but not least, the ice cream bar. You can help yourself with all the toppings.
And have the chef to scoop for you! I was greedy so i wanted ALL flavors. I was told that this is Gelato ice cream.
Ta dah! Awwww i really love the waffle. Ice cream was good but I was too full to finish it. I had a taste of all flavours! I had quite a good time chit-chatting with both Sidney and Sunny. And also Shirley, the director of marketing communication of the hotel.
And the showcase of cake from Big Boys Oven! Of course, it is only a dummy. I really couldn’t stop admiring the cake. I wonder what it would turn out to be if i were the baker.
There ended my flavorful Thursday night.
Now, I am craving for more oysters, sashimi and desserts.
Thanks BigBoysOven for the invitation!
