On a fine friday, a gang of us happily went lunch in One-Utama and i must admit it was a huge mistake of mine to suggest to try the Jack’s Place set lunch.
The friday’s menu, which include:
1. Fried dory
2. Chicken chop
3. Steak
Starting from RM15-RM19, inclusive of soup of the day, coffee/tea, maincourse, dessert. And little did i know that, the horror just began.
1. Soup was tasteless. I believe it was carrot soup. If you think the mushroom soup in Pizza Hut is bad, come try this. I took 2 sips and left it just there. Horrible.
2. The food presentation was bad! The color combination is bad bad bad! They could have used some green broccoli instead of this pale white cabbage? I lost my appetite on the spot. And my steak was fatty fat, fat! It was pretty tasteless on its own and I had to drown it with chili sos.
3. Fried dory. Extremely oily. Again, food presentation was bad.
4. I don’t know how this tasted but it certainly did not get good comments.
As for the dessert/tea. I took only a bite of each and no pictures as my mood was already ruined by the lunch.
And not to mention, there is a middle-aged chinese man working there, whom I believe is the manager. He was so sarcastic to us! So, basically it was a BAD lunch!
And I would strongly advise you that NOT to step in there. EVER!

Don’t say it’s a huge mistake to eat there. You’re a food reviewer, aren’t you? So you must try everything lah…
BTW, which part of 1 Utama is Jack’s Place located? I haven’t had a clue.

April 27th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
I’ve been there once and never went back again! That was like about 2 years ago. Now still so bad? How did they manage to survive all these years?

this place sucks big time! I had the worst experience dining at this place… the staff they hired, oh my, it’s so bad, it’s beyond description. this waiter who took my order made a mistake and thought i ordered two sets of fish and chips, which i had only ordered one set, and the other set should be fried rice with chicken. i even pointed at the numbers in the menu for him. When he asked if we want coffee or tea, i said coffee for myself and also for my hubby. He asked if i want two, i said yes, two thinking that he was referring to two coffee. then, two sets of fish and chips came. That idiotic waiter had the guts to come back twice with very rude attitude, first telling me i said two sets of fish and chips, and second time asking me if i’m sure i wanted fried rice and chicken. i was like “hello… who wasn’t sure at the beginning????. How rude! I regretted not complaining there and then coz i had diarrhea in the evening. I definitely won’t hesitate to share my experience with the rest of the world!
