 Little Penang Kafe, The Curve

The set meal.. beef ghost curry

I am a regular of The Curve, and I have passed by Little Penang Kafe for many times, although it’s always crowded, but I have no idea why I never eaten there.

So, today, headache of what to eat, I finally paid my visit to the shop. The environment of the kafe looks very old-school, even the chairs, deco, tables, and everything. Oh, I think the bosses look quite old-school too, they are some middle-aged men. Looking at the menu, there are several choices that ranged at RM9.90, such as, nasi lemak, char kuew tyeo, laksa..etc.

The RM12.50 sets attracted me though, there were like, curry chicken +something, then beef+something, sambal sotong+something, fried fish+something, all served with rice of course. I ordered Kari Hantu (Ghost Curr) set, thinking that it must be spicy, yes, I love spicy food! It’s a set of beef+lobak+the ’sengkuang’. To my surprise, the supposingly-hot ghost curry is not hot at all, it’s actually quite sweet. The beef cube was a little hard though. But the lobak was nice though. Crispy.

The set cost RM12.50 and a glass of chinese tea cost RM1.20. Choices of drinks there are limited though, they serve only coffee, no milk tea. I guess, I would go back there and try some other food there again!
