Just when the sweet-voiced Samantha from Nuffnang called me just now to confirm my attendance to the premier of Pirates of the Carribean 3 on this 24th, I feel motivated to watch Pirates 2 now. Many people screamed at me in disbelief that I have never watched any of Pirates of the Carribean, and yet I am still so excited for the Pirates 3, because I won the tickets from Nuffnang. You know, people get excited over the free stuff.
After I watched Pirates 1 on a hot Saturday afternoon, I was quite impressed and inspired by the movie. So, I have decided to go The Ship for dinner on that day. There are few brances of The Ship in Klang Valley, the HQ is next to Sogo, in the Pertama Compleks, one in Jalan Bukit Bintang, one in Jalan Sultan Ismail and one in Damansara Uptown. Oh, there is also one in Sri Petaling, but that’s the OFFICE of the restaurant, so don’t go there and eat.
Pertama Compleks sucks, people there looked at you as if they wanted to swallow you, but heck, I still went for the Ship there.
The table settings, it was as if you were sitting in a ship cabin.
The painting on the wall, is a ship, they must remind you that this is THE SHIP.
After choosing your favourite seat, the sailors will show u a menu, their menu is very special, they printed the rankings of the staff in the menu. I have tried the Tomyam soup there, man I really love their Tomyam soup! Their escargots are good too. But this time, I thought to better stick to something original and classic. I ordered a fancy steak last time and spoilt my mood because I didn’t like it. So, I ordered the medium well good-old sizzling steak, something on the pan can never go wrong!
The salad that came with my main course.
3 mins after I ordered, they served us 2 buns as appetizer, the bread was quite soft.
The classic sizzling steak, the sizzling gravy even splash on my thigh! Hot indeed. It tasted alot better than it looked, I always have exposure problem with hp pictures. The meat was medium well, and it was very very juicy, thick and tender. Man, I wanna go again!
A mixed grill, with turkey ham, lamb, chicken, sausage, and steak. Really a good choice to taste all of them. But, of course, it can’t possibly beat my sizzling stuff.
You can sit around and chit chat after dinner, I was surprised that most diners there were families. I wonder why. Kids nowadays are so fortunate, when I was their age, I was only imagining having a steak in a restaurant.
Is indeed the best steak I ever had so far..! *yummmmmmmy*
The sizzling steak - RM 35.90
The mixed grill - RM32.90

Hey, carry your pocket camera wherever you go. Don’t use that handphone cam. How about a Fuji F40 fd?

Maria: Haha it tasted better than it looked seriously. I wonder how people look at me if I chew on a steak instead of popcorn in the cinema. hehe
Exif: U want to give me a F40? I need a P&S

The last time I ate at The Ship was somewhere NEAR the Bukit Bintang area. I was there for a Cosplay (which ironically was for POTC 2)… can’t remember what I ate already but I do recall it was pretty good…
