So fast it is August already! Before you realize it, Xmas is coming again.
Nothing much has changed since early of the year, except that I am controlling my diet now. And…hence the slow down in food posting. Anyone has got any tips for sure-fire way to cut fat?
And good news to myself:
My article of New York New York Deli was featured in the first issue of BestFoodJunction.com mag (July issue).
A page of my article! Weee! Thank you folks at bestfoodjunction.com, keep up the good work!

On the food:
Few days ago, we had to do something in Kajang, and it was also my first time to Kajang. So, we just could not miss the kajang satay right?
Recommended by a friend, we found our way to Sate Kajang Hj. Samuri ( not samurai). We missed a turning to this building and had to spend another 15 mins to make a huge u-turn.
It is a big building with selling only satay as the main attraction. They have sections for: sate, drinks, kuah and etc. It is self-service.
The sauces. The generous big bowl of the peanut sauce. However, i find that the sauce is a bit too watery. And you see the sambal on the tray too?
10 sticks of chicken and 5 sticks for beef for 2 persons. I regretted ordering the beef as they were cold and hard. And…beefy. Chicken and beef are both 60cent each.
But the chicken was awesome! Big, fat, juicy, and hot! And paired with sambal, I immediately forgot the tough journey to finding this building.
It is a big place, and the business is so good they occupy all 3 floors of the building, by just selling satay!
Although I really liked the satay, but i am not sure if i will go kajang again the 2nd time just for the satay alone.

p/s: It is located next to the stadium.

I love the Hj Samuri peanut sauce the most! But how come it’s diluted?
No need to go all the way to Kajang for Hj Samuri Satay. Can eat it at Damansara Uptown : )

ya lor! I use to love hot piping satay but this one served cold and hard satay! I noticed they bbq the satay and keep it in the stainless steel box, and without reheating them again before serving, ended up cold satay! not nice lar!
August 18th, 2009 at 3:10 pm

August 19th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
I like their Satay. Last time I used to travel that far like you but now they have one branch in USJ Taipan too.
August 20th, 2009 at 11:44 am
thank u guys for the comments. yeah i guess their standard has dropped eh? since most of you also said that now the satay is served cold
i will check out the one in uptown to see if it is better
August 20th, 2009 at 1:56 pm
the satay not that good liao, cold, hardened, and even the gravy lacks oomph.
wondering if they’re paying the price of commercialization.

Oh yes I remember this food outlet. I have passed it before and I have always seen quite a number of diners there. But have yet to try out the food.
The Korean noodles looked very tasty.
Thanks for visiting and leaving your comment.
