Being a Kluang-rian all my life, I can’t believe that this is the first time that I visited the real Kluang Rail Coffee. I have been to the new Kluang Rail Coffee in town and Kluang Station, but not this original one at the railway station.
So classic, and damn crowded on a Monday morning.
It was packed to the max, we had to Q for table.
They have quite a large crew serving and taking orders.
The classic teh tarik and nescafe. One thing good that I like is, it is not that sweet compared to the others.
A pack of nasi lemak for 70 cents. Nothing much in the nasi lemak.
My whole meal round toast. They ran out of the long bread, only round ones left. It was only 10am in the morning!!! Crispy and full of oohm!
See? The melting kaya and butter.
They have a secret table at the back on the shop! You can open it up and sit there too.
The ticket counter opposite the shop.
I was hoping for train to pass by, it’s been ages since I last rode a train.
The rail feels lonely without the train.
After visiting quite many franchise coffee shop, i must say that this original one has the best toast. Shame on me for never been there earlier.
What’s your favorite coffee shop?

After tasting the best food in Klang Valley, how do you find the lowly Kluang Raid Coffee? Very cheap?
I also haven’t rode KTM for a long time, except KTM Komuter. I used to take train from Perak to Singapore, but it was too slow compared to bus. However, my parents plan to take train to Singapore in future. The reason: they don’t need to walk far in the immigration. Instead, the officers will board the train.

Oh, I love the toast with butter and kaya! Yummy!! But the nasi lemak - nothing much in there, not even eggs? Not a nutritious meal at all, some more all rice - mainly starch and carbs - unhealthy!! I prefer they include eggs and sotong at least and sell it at say, RM1.20.

Went there many times but never like it. It was too hot, very crowded that you can touch people back with your back, the crew got me the wrong order and the tea was so sweet that I got sore throat in one gulp.

oooh, so nostalgic. i was posted in kluang in the early 90s, (actually, 1990 to be exact) and spent many a happy moment here. it was of course very uncommercialised, and old, and rustic. good to know the roti bakar’s still good. still real butter right? not margarine?(Eughhh)
