Being a rather frequent eat-out person, I don’t know why I tend to go back to the same restaurant again and again especially if I like a particular dish there.
But eating out frequent also means lesser $ in bank.
So, the key is - finding the good food with affordable price!
Let me present to you Ting’s Cafe signature dish - Hainanese Chicken Chop @ RM11.90.
Instead of the usual deep fried chicken fillet, they grill the chicken then only pour the gravy over!
It was so good we literally lick the plate clean!!!
They do serve Hainanese Pork Chop at no additional cost if you request to swap chicken for pork.
I prefer the chicken though, I am more of a chicken person
Another must-have dish is this Ox Tail Soup – RM13.50.
It was thick and flavorful, and where else can you find a good Oxtail soup with less than RM15?
No cheating. You will find chunks of beef in the soup. YUMMY!
Before I could took a photo of this Nasi Lemak Mutton - RM6, I was already attacking the crispy anchovies. I hate it when my anchovies are soggy.
I love the mutton as it was tender and hot, if you can’t really take spicy food, you might suffer abit eating this.
Pork Chop Noodle – RM6.50.
With such a big piece of pork chop, it only costs you RM6.50!
The pork chop was very well marinated before being fried, the pork chop was gone before the noodles. Now you see why.
Pork Leg Vinegar – RM8.00.
I couldn’t stop drinking the vinegar, it was as good as the one my mom always makes. ^_^
It has been prepared earlier and kept in the fridge, then only being heated up upon order. So, you can be assured that it will be served hot. It will even taste better!
Claypot Lou Shi Fun – RM6.50.
Looks boring and plain?
The treasure hidden underneath waiting to be discovered.
My next favorite - Curry Pork Rib Rice – RM10.50.
Curry was thick and really fragrant, and love the yummy pork ribs. Curry went really well with white rice. Needless to say, I think the claypot was sparkling clean after the tornado from our table. LOL.
Sambal Fried Rice – RM6.50.
Absolutely tasty with also ‘lap cheong’ fried together.
Hainanese Mee Gravy – RM6.00.
This is a light food, you can opt for this if you are not in a mood for heavy food.
After lunch - Vietnamese Coffee - RM4.50.
Orange, Ginger and Cucumber – RM5.50.
This is a really interesting combination, it is said to reduce body heat, improve skin texture and moisture.
But I guess it did nothing to me with only a glass.
This is definitely a place worth visiting over and over, if you have not, you should go now!
It is located few doors away from Teow Chew Meng mee suah.
Address: 25 Jalan SS2/30, 47300, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. (03-7874 1749)

“I don’t know why I tend to go back to the same restaurant again and again…”
I don’t just go back to the same restaurant, but also order the same food. Sometimes the waiters/waitress also know what I would order. Paiseh…
Vietnamese coffee? That’s cool! I haven’t tried it since my last visit to HCMC.
